Why Conceal Apps?
Concealing apps is a great way to keep your device organized and clutter-free. It also adds an extra layer of privacy by hiding sensitive or personal apps from others who may have access to your phone.
How to Conceal Apps
There are several ways to conceal apps on an iPhone running iOS 14, but the most effective method is to use a third-party app called “Hide Me!”
Step 1: Download and Install Hide Me!
Open the App Store on your iPhone and search for “Hide Me!” Download and install the app. Once installed, open it and create a new hide group by tapping the plus sign in the top left corner of the screen.
Step 2: Add Apps to the Hide Group
Select the apps you want to conceal by tapping on their icons. You can also search for apps using the built-in search bar or browse through your app library to find them. Once you’ve selected the apps, tap the “Add” button in the top right corner of the screen.
Step 3: Customize the App Icons
You can customize the icons for the concealed apps by tapping on the icon and selecting a new one from the list of available icons. You can also rename the app to make it more memorable.
Step 4: Enable Stealth Mode
To enable stealth mode, go to settings > General > Privacy > Location Services. Scroll down to “Allow Apps to Access” and toggle off “Location Always and When in Use.” This will prevent any apps that are not part of the hide group from accessing your location.
Step 5: Conceal Apps from the Home Screen
To conceal apps from the home screen, go to settings > General > Home Screen Layout > Screen Options. Toggle off “App Library” and “Widgets.” This will remove the app library and widgets from your home screen, making it look cleaner and more organized.
